(YYH 2 : Meikai no Shitou Hen - Honoo no Kisuna) (I am narrating this to the best of my knowledge and memory if there is something wrong or missing, please don't hesitate to inform me right away) The Beginning In the Spirit World (Reikai), Jericho (Koenma) sits by his desk doing all the usual paperwork. It was a stormy night, when suddenly lighting and thunder just erupted out of nowhere. After a few minutes, the Spirit World's sirens blast out loud. "A tidal wave is coming! A tidal wave is coming!", somebody shouted. Then suddenly, hundreds of workers toil to shut the gates of the Spirit World Castle. The door was huge, standing around 100 feet high. In the distance, the flood washes out all trees and land. The tidal wave is headed for the castle. The workers manage to close the door, but the impact of the waves burst it open. Charlene (Botan) flies to Jericho's room, urging him to flea the castle. "You must escape now, Master Jericho! The castle is being flooded and most of the workers have drowned!" she said. "No! I will stay here. But you must go to the human world and bring this orb to Eugene and the others. Take care of it, for I fear the pearl will bring devastation on the wrong hands." Jericho hands Charlene the Orb of Hades, a big white pearl that contains the pure, evil energies of the Kingdom of Hades (Meikai). When Charlene takes the pearl, Jericho urgers her to go. Charlene flies on her oar and shouts to Jericho to take care. Jericho waves and is then washed away with the flood. Meanwhile in the Human World (Ningenkai), Pauline is running away from a bunch of demons. These demons have found a small human to play with. Her screams for help call out to Alfred (Kazuma Kuwabara) and Eugene (Urameshi Yusuke). Alfred and Eugene engage the enemy and easily finish them off. Pauline thanks them for their help. Eugene then goes to his school. He finds his classes very boring and decides to sleep. He goes out of the classroom and heads for the rooftop. There, he sits by the shade, when suddenly, a shadow appears before him. It was Charlene! She was injured in her trip to the Human world, trying to escape the harsh winds and the terrible storm. "What happened? What happened to you?" asks Eugene. "Spirit World... danger... flood... pearl..." stutters Charlene. "What? What are you trying to tell me?" asks Eugene. "Must... protect... pearl... from..." then, Charlene becomes unconscious from exhaustion. Eugene becomes worried and decides to take her to Jeremiah's temple. Perhaps there she could rest and recover. Then they would talk. It was night when Eugene reaches Jeremiah's place, and there he finds Alfred and Pauline there. Jeremiah (Genkai) places Charlene in a room where she can recover. They all gather in the center of the temple and discusses what was happening. "Master Jeremiah, do you know what is going on?" asks Eugene. "No. But I have a feeling that something bad is about to take place." she replies. Then suddenly, Dennis (Kurama) comes in. "The Spiritual World is gone. A great wave has flooded the Spirit World. There is no signs of life, so far. There is no way we can communicate with them." he says. "What? How is that possible?" Alfred asks. "A great power has summoned a tidal wave to drown the Spirit World." Dennis replies. "But who could be responsible for this? Who is powerful enough to do such a thing?" asks Eugene. "I think I know... Long ago, the Spirit World was challenged by the Ganther (Yakumo), Lord of the Kingdom of Hades. Lord Enma, ruler of the Spirit World had managed to defeat Ganther. Lord Enma imprissoned Ganther in the Underworld, which is now one with the Kingdom of Hades. Scriptures has it that Ganther will only in time escape if his forces have grown strong enough." explains Pauline. "So are you trying to tell us that Ganther has escaped?" asks Eugene. "Sigh... It seems clear to me now. But what is more important is if we can restore the connection to the Spirit World." implies Jeremiah. The Quest for the 5 Gates Pauline says the only way to restore the connection to the Spirit World is to open the Five Spiritual Gates to unleash its spiritual power. These five gates are made of the five elements of the Earth : Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, and Spirit. These gates are hidden in five containers scattered throughout the town. They should use their spiritual energies to open each of the gates before the Spirit World is lost forever. After they plan what to do the next morning, Mikaela (Yukina) and Jenny (Keiko) arrive. They go to Charlene's room where they tend to her. When Alfred finds out that Mikaela had arrived, he rushes over to see her. He becomes goo-goo-ga-ga when he sees her, jumping like a ballet dancer. When he sees her sad face, he tells her to smile because she looks very pretty when she smiles. Mikaela tells him she feels sad because of Charlene's condition. Dennis steps out of the shrine and goes to the side of the temple, where Vincent (Hiei) suddenly "drops in" (from the roof). Dennis informs him of the situation, and Vincent is pleased - pleased that he would somehow be facing a worthy opponent. When he sees Alfred "drooling" over Mikaela, he could not resist the urge to wack some sense into him. Dennis suddenly asks, "Why not tell Mikaela that you are her brother? You know that it would make her very happy." Vincent replies, "No. It is best I keep it a secret for our own good. I want her to be protected and safe from harm." Dennis smiles. Vincent leaves them to do some searching of his own. In another part of the town, a mysterious wave of energy falls from the sky, landing on the ground. Ganther and his four minions (Gayamo, the Twin Demons, Maja, and Miko) had arrived. "I can feel the powerful energy of the orb here. It is kept by a being from the Spirit World." says Ganther. "Master, what do we do now?" asks Maja. "We shall bring my kingdom to this pathetic world. We will create Hell on Earth. You know what to do." says Ganther. And with that words, all of his four minions disappear from the scene. They were set out to destroy the five gates to replace them with evil energy. The energy will create a passageway from the Underworld to the Human World, and Ganther will put up his kingdom here, The next day, Dennis, Eugene, Alfred, and Pauline go to search for the first gate - the gate of wind. When they come to a block near a shrine, they notice the winds are blowing hard. The ground begins to shake. Pauline feels the energy coming from the shrine. They all rush towards the shrine, but upon reaching it, a magical gate opens in the sky, with energy shooting up from the ground. "Someone has opened the gate. But this is strange, because the energy coming from the gate is evil energy." Pauline says. "So what does this mean?" asks Alfred. "Just as I feared. Ganther plans to open the five gates and open the connection from the Human World to the Underworld." Pauline replies. "If he opens the five gates, then all is lost. The connection of the Spirit World to the Human World will never be restored, and Ganther's world will open to the Human World!" she adds. "We must hurry and open the other gates before they do!" she says. They decide to split up so that they would be able to find the gates faster. Alfred heads for the east, to search for the Gate of Water. Dennis heads south to search for the Gate of Earth. Eugene sets off for the City area, and Pauline tags along, to search for the Gate of Fire (That leaves Vincent with the Gate of Spirit). When Eugene and Pauline reach the city area, they see a bunch of demons headed for a demolished building. The building apparently had an underground parking area that remained untouched. When Eugene and Pauline reach the inside of the building, they notice the demons gathering around a certain marking on the wall, with the figure of a small demon or gargoyle. Eugene defeats these small demons with ease. And just about when they are ready to open the Gate of Fire, an energy blast streaks from behind them. The Gate is almost shattered, but the blast had only destroyed the concrete surrounding the gate container. When Eugene turns his back to see who did that, he sees a man with white hair and black robes. Pauline hides behind a post and is frightened to see Ganther, Lord of Hades. Eugene tries to attack Ganther, but he simply passes through Ganther, who was headed for the Gate. Ganther shoots an energy blast which pushes Eugene through the windshield of a car. Ganther then heads closer for the Gate, when Pauline rushes towards him to try to stop him. Ganther sees Pauline as a pest and fires an energy blast that carries Pauline away. When Eugene recovers, Ganther shoots one more energy blast and opens the Gate of Fire. The Energy within the Gate is replaced by evil energy, and the second gate of evil energy has opened. Eugene tries to attack Ganther again, this time using his Spiritual Energy. He attacks Ganther once more, but this time, Ganther walks towards him and fades away. He was successful and had no more business to play with Eugene. Charlene is Kidnapped After Ganther had blasted the Gate of Fire, he decides to repossess the Orb of Hades. He and Miko go to Jeremiah's temple, where they feel the essence of Charlene and the orb. When they head towards the temple, Charlene's body starts glowing. Jeremiah has a feeling that evil energy is approaching. She steps out of the temple and sees Ganther and Miko coming. "Let me handle her, Master." says Miko. "No. She is mine to toy with. You go get the girl." Ganther replies. Jeremiah tells them to leave her temple for their energies are not welcomed their. Ganther tells her to get out of his way, or face the consequences. Jeremiah ignores his threat and lunges for Ganther. Ganther responds with a wave of energy blast which Jeremiah tries to counter. The blast was too strong and she was sent flying backwards. Jeremiah tries to attack once more, but Jenny and Mikaela step out to see what is happening. Ganther fires another blast at Jeremiah. Jeremiah could not react fast enough and was hit against a wall. He shot Jenny too and she was sent flying towards the stairs. He also shot one at Mikaela, who was also sent flying away. Miko then comes out of the shrine with Charlene. They both then disappear from the scene. It was now dark, and Vincent stands on top of a pavement. He tries to find the location of the Gate of Spirits, and open it before their enemies do. He found out that others were also after the Gates when he saw the blast of energy from the ground to the sky. He was able to find the location of the gate, and when he was about to leave, he feels a gush of wind. One of the twin demons attacked and struck Vincent in the chest, but it was only Vincent's after-image, for he had sensed their presence and quickly moved. He struck his sword on the demon's body and one of the demons fell down dead. The other demon carried a spear-like blade, but must have been weakened because both demons were used to acting as a pair. Now alone, Vincent shows off his speed and skill, and easily finishes off the demon. He felt he had defeated the enemy, but he turns his back and is blasted off. Miko, Ganther's right hand, had a third eye like Vincent. But his eye was an evil eye, and when it opens, it sends out an invicible ray of energy that pushes away the person who looks at the evil eye. Vincent crashes into a building window and Miko opens the Gate of Spirit. In another part of town, Dennis goes to a small field that had a casement which contained the figure of a dragon. Dennis uses his energy to open the Spiritual Gate, and succeeds. The Gate starts to open with pure, spiritual energy. But behind him, someone utters to himself "I have your past!". The figure appears, dressed in black clothing with wings. He carried a pendant, and suddenly says "So, Dennis, after many years, we meet again." Dennis is shocked to hear the voice, saying to himself "Can it be?". Dennis turns his back, and sees Black Raven (Kuronue), his former partner when they were thieves in the Netherworld (Makai). "Black Raven!?!! Is that you?" stutters Dennis. "Yes, Dennis. It is I, Black Raven, your partner in crime. And I have come back to make you pay for your crimes and your sins against me." he responds. "How could you leave me to die? How could you leave me to die while you took the treasures? I thought you were my friend." he adds. Dennis is shocked. "No... It wasn't my fault. I didn't mean to..." Dennis says and is interrupted. "LIAR! You left me to die so that you would have the treasures to yourself. You left me to DIE!" Black Raven says. "No... no... it wasn't like that... it..." Dennis says and is again interrupted. "LIAR! I have come back to make you pay. And you shall!" Black Raven says. He carried a blade, and this he threw at Dennis. Dennis manages to evade it, but is hit in the stomach. The blade passes past Dennis and destroys the Spiritual Gate. The Gate's energy is then replaced with dark, evil energy, and the fourth gate is opened. Black Raven bids Dennis good-bye, and says that they shall meet again soon. In a desolate part of town, near a lake, Alfred approaches a casement which contained the Gate of Water. Just as he was about to open the gate, a blast of water comes from nearby. "Wow! This is like a geyser, but why is it that the water is calm and steady?" ponders Alfred. When he gets close, he sees his reflection. He stares for a moment, until his reflection is replaced by an image of Maja. Alfred is surprised. "Who? Who are you?" he asks. "I am Maja, a warrior of Hades. And I am here to destroy the Spiritual Gate." Maja answers. "Destroy? Well then, you would have to get through me first!" Alfred responds. Maja is pleased. He tells Alfred that he has the power to imitate any skill and power his opponents have. Alfred does not believe and calls his Spiritual Sword (Rei Ken). Maja does the same and they start fighting. Maja was like a reflection, imitating every attack and technique that Alfred performs. Alfred then thinks of a plan. "Maja, prepare to witness the full power of my Spiritual Energy!" He shouts. "Fool! I can counter that with the exact same strength and magnitude." Alfred gives his full power and so does Maja. After the blast, Alfred and Maja stand up, now very weak. "Ha! Ha! You are very foolish in doing that, Maja. Now I have an advantage over you." boasts Alfred. "What? What are you babbling about?" he responds. "You gave all your powers like I, so now you no longer have the ability to imitate my skills or techniques. You forgot that as a guy I still have brute strength, and my strength you can no longer copy." Alfred shouts. "Huh? No! It's true." Maja screams when he tries to summon the Spiritual Sword. Alfred then gives him a beating with multiple hits and punches. He manages to defeat Maja and falls down from exhaustion. Then, Eugene, Pauline, Dennis, and Vincent arrive. When they were about to open the gate, an energy blast flies past them hitting the Spiritual Gate. Vincent uncovers his third eye and his eye is able to see that in the distance, Ganther had shot the blast. The final gate was destroyed, and the five gates are now open. The energies streak from the city grounds to the sky. The five gates are positioned as a pentagon around the famous Tokyo Tower. The group had failed. Silent Anger Upon returning to the temple, they were shocked to see what had happened. Jeremiah steps out of the temple, holding her left hand with her right, telling them what had happened. Pauline and Dennis quickly aid them and get them into bed to rest. Jeremiah had told them that Charlene was kidnapped by Ganther. "What would they want from Charlene?" asks Eugene. "I don't know, but Charlene's body seemed to have glowed when they approached. Ganther said they were after something from the Spirit World that belonged to them." replies Jeremiah. "Something from the... Oh no... How could I have been so blind! Charlene had the Orb of Hades with her!" says Pauline worriedly. "The Orb of Hades?" asks Eugene. "Yes. A very powerful artifact that contains the pure essence of evil. If Ganther takes it out of her body, she will surely die and he would be unstoppable! We... we must try to stop him before it is too late!" Pauline says. "But how do we defeat a monster? I... I could not even save myself from him!" Eugene responds bitterly. After their talk, they all go somewhere to be alone. Alfred decides to visit Mikaela, worried what had happened to her, and when he sees her in bed, he cries to himself and goes away because Jeremiah told him not to disturb any of them because they needed rest. When Vincent sees Mikaela, he becomes shocked, and sullen (deeply mad inside). Dennis goes off to the woods where he would heal his wounds. Vincent then backs out of the house and vanishes. After a few seconds, he could be seen on top of a very tall tree, breathing the air there and surveying the surroundings. Eugene sits on the terrace, thinking to himself, thinking how to fight back Ganther. Pauline goes to the shrine and prays, asking Charlene to forgive her for not seeing that Charlene had the orb immediately. Hidden Talents Alfred went into the woods, where he punched a tree so hard it moved. Alfred tried to control his power after giving everything that he had to Maja. His powers have become very weak, so he decides to preserve his energy and strength. He goes back near the temple and there he waited. Dennis goes into a lake, where he covers his wounds by bandaging the cut that Black Raven had given him. He also charges his spiritual energy, and broke a twig of bamboo. He placed it on the back of his hair, saying it will be very handy in time. He puts on his fighting clothes and goes out of the woods. Vincent, while still on top of a tree, thinks to himself, full of anger and hate. He then unleashes his spiritual energy by opening his third eye. His third eye emmited a greenish glow, and he was filled with spiritual energy. He then vanishes from the tree, nowhere to be seen in sight. Eugene, after thinking what had happened, how he lost to Ganther, and how he hurt Jenny, goes into a deep anger. He punches the ground, and the winds begin to swirl. He is surrounded by spiritual energy, and he controls this. He charges up and then shouts "I will make you pay for your sins!" Pauline comes out of the temple, wearing a piece of cloth on her forehead. She tells them she will accompany them in their fight against Ganther. She will be of aid to them for she will attend to Charlene. As Eugene and Pauline were walking, Alfred joins them, coming out of the woods. As they walked and reached the city, Dennis was waiting for them behind an alley, and then joins them when he felt their presence. As they were walking towards the inner city, Vincent appears out of nowhere and walks with them. Bitter Victory Upon reaching the inner city, they find themselves near a construction yard. The place is covered with mist and fog. Then suddenly, Black Raven approaches them. Dennis steps forward and then chases Black Raven. Black Raven disappears into the fog, and Dennis goes down an elevator. He goes down to the construction yard, and then steps into the open area. Black Raven then shows himself, and then haunts Dennis again by asking him "Why did you leave me to die, traitor?" Dennis turns his back and sees him eye to eye, "I did not mean for it to happen that way." he responds. "LIAR! You are a traitor! And now, you must pay for your crimes!" He then throws a blade towards Dennis, who evades it. "I will not fight you." Dennis says. "Then you will die trying!" Black Raven says, once more throwing blades at Dennis. Dennis evades them all, but he crouches in pain because of the wound that was yet not fully healed. Black Raven throws three blades once more, and this time Dennis counters them with his rose whip. "Dennis, you have grown weak. And I cannot stand to see weak and pathetic creatures. I will finish you off here!" Black Raven says. Meanwhile, the others are worried for Dennis. Vincent told them not to worry because he can handle the enemy himself. After a few seconds, Vincent looks back, with glare in his eye. "What's wrong, Vincent?" Eugene asks. "Shhh... Hmmm..." Vincent says and then throws his sword. The sword hits something. They run to his sword and he picks up a curved blade. "I knew it. These blades cut the air and the sound it produces creates an optical illusion." he says. "You mean Dennis is fighting an illusion down there?" Eugene asks. "Uh-huh." he responds. He then spins his pendant, and then throws it. He then jumps into the air and vanishes. Dennis has a flashback and then says to himself, "No. I did not leave Black Raven to die. He told me to go on, to go without him." The wind blows, and the pendant falls to the ground. "You are not Black Raven.You are an impostor!" and as Black Raven is about to strike from behind, Dennis summons a sword made out of plants and strikes Black Raven instead. "You are not Black Raven. Reveal your true form!" Dennis says. When Black Raven transforms into Gayamo, Gayamo asks "How... how did you know?" Dennis answers, "Black Raven would never part with his pendant. And he would never strike from behind. I will make you pay for desecrating his life. You will die!" Gayamo is frightened and backs away from Dennis. Dennis takes the bamboo twig from his hair, and in a second, he throws it to the ground and makes it shoot upwards. The bamboos shoot upwards and strike Gayamo's body and carries it 50 feet above the ground. The others meet Dennis, but it is Vincent who approaches him. "Why do you look so sad?" he asks. "I thought I'd never feel that kind of guilt in my life. I wish I could have saved Black Raven." Dennis replies. "You can never change the past. Each of us has his and her own dark memories, but these are not something that should bring our downfall. You know that." Vincent replies and goes away. Dennis looks at Eugene who nods at him. It was time to go. Sweet Revenge They then run for the building where Ganther is. However, they are stopped by Miko. Alfred identifies him as the person who hurt Mikaela. "I will make you pay for what you did to Mikaela!" he shouts. As he runs towards Miko, Vincent trips him. "Why did you do that?" Alfred asks. "I will handle this. You do not have enough spiritual power left to face him." Vincent replies. And with this, he engages in a sword fight with Miko. They are both skilled with their weapons, but then Miko opens his third eye and sends Vincent flying through the windows of a building. Pauline is worried. "Miko is a unique fighter. He is one of Ganther's strongest warriors. His third eye is known as the evil eye. It has the ability to bring out the evil self of a person and control that person. Vincent must not be overwhelmed by Miko's power." she says. Miko then calls to Vincent and tells him to stare at his third eye. Vincent looks straight in Miko's third eye, seeming hypnotized and being overwhelmed with evil power. After a few moments, several eyes open from his body. "Oh no... His evil (Jaganshi/Majin) form. This is serious.." says Dennis. "Vincent, fight his power. Fight it!" yells Eugene. "It is too late. He is in my power. Vincent, I order you to destroy your friends! Hahaha!" laughs Miko. And in a few moments, Vincent burns the bandage that is wrapped on his right arm. He unleashes the power of the Black Dragon Spirit Power (Ja-ou-ensatsu-kokoryu-ha) and several Black Dragons come charging towards Eugene and the others. Eugene stands firm and so do the others, and suddenly, the Black Dragon is headed for Miko. Miko is surprised and he was not fast enough to protect himself from Vincent's fury. He is engulfed in the Black Dragon and is incinerated. The blast was so strong that it knocked a building over the water, forming somewhat like a bridge. "What? What happened?" asks Alfred. "The evil eye cannot control the fury of the Black Dragon... no one can... except me..." Vincent says and then collapses from exhaustion. Dennis and Alfred attend to Vincent, and they bandage his right arm once more. They tell Eugene and Pauline to go ahead, and that they will meet them there. The five gates had enclosed the center Tokyo building with a wave of energy, but the building that was knocked down formed a passageway for them to cross. Final Confrontation Eugene and Pauline run towards the Tokyo tower. They then climb up dozens of flights of stairs. Meanwhile, at the rooftop, Ganther overlooks his new 'kingdom.' "It is time for me to bring my kingdom here. It is time to create Hell on Earth!" he says. Charlene's body floats, and Ganther raises his hand just above her chest. He then calls out to the orb to get out of Charlene's body. When the orb is just outside Charlene's chest, Charlene grabs the orb and tries to force it back inside. "It is useless. The orb is as good as mine. Release it and your suffering ends." he says. "Never... I... will... never... let... go... AAAAAAAAAAA!" Charlene screams. As Eugene and Pauline reach the top, Ganther pulls out the orb and throws Charlene to the ground. Eugene and Pauline run to Charlene. "Eugene... the orb... I'm... sorry..." Charlene stutters. "It wasn't your fault. You rest, while we take care of business." he replies. "Charlene, I'm sorry. I should've known what was going on sooner. I wanted to help you, but I was too slow... I..." Pauline says but is interrupted. "Don't worry. It wasn't... your fault. You couldn't... have known... It's all... right." Charlene replies. And with this, she collapses because of exhaustion. "Eugene... It is time. Witness my power here and now!" says Ganther. And as Ganther says this, the whole building is engulfed in a blast of energy. The building is transformed into a fortress of evil energy. Eugene then engages Ganther in a high speed fight. Eugene's punches proved useless against Ganther, who was too powerful now. Eugene fires a full-charged Rei Gun against Ganther, who did not move. A huge explosion takes place and Eugene falls to the ground because of the impact. Dennis, Alfred, and Vincent (on Alfred's shoulder) arrive on the scene and they see Eugene on the ground. "You were no match for me before, Eugene. And now, you are in my world. I am immortal here. I am a GOD!" Ganther says. "And now, witness a sample of my power!" he says. He fires a blast of energy the size of Eugene's Rei Gun. The blast is headed for Eugene, but Alfred runs towards it and grabs it. "Alfred... what are you doing?" asks Eugene. "I may not have enough spiritual power, but I will do everything in my power to try to help..." Alfred responds. He grabs the ball of energy and then throws it away. "I am surprised to see you still standing, weak one." Ganther says. "Hahahaha... I will take you to new heights!" says Ganther. The ground begins to shake, and the platform is carried high into the air. "You are all weak and pathetic. None of you are worth my time and power!" he says. "DON'T TEST ME!" says Vincent. He prepares to use his Black Dragon Spirit Power but Dennis stops him. "DON'T! He'll kill you!" he says. The ground keeps on getting higher and higher. The ground stops growing. "We must get the orb away from Ganther. He is too powerful for us." Pauline says. She flies on an oar similar to Charlene's and heads to the top where Ganther, Eugene, and Alfred are. As she approaches, Ganther takes out the orb. "This is my power, Eugene. And with it, I shall bring my kingdom to this pathetic planet. Prepare for the destruction of your world!" says Ganther. Before Ganther was about to use the orb's power to begin the creation of Hell on Earth, she lunges towards Ganther and holds the orb. "Give... me... this... orb!" she says. "You pestering, insect! I have ways to deal with the likes of you." Ganther says and throws Pauline away. "We must help her!" Dennis says. He and Vincent leap into the high platform. Dennis uses the rose whip to grab Ganther's hand while Vincent tries to take the orb from him. Ganther fires a blast from his other arm to Vincent. Vincent is blasted away. Ganther turns to Dennis and blasts him as well. The orb falls off Ganther's hand and rolls on the floor. Ganther returns to his normal mode. "Fools. You have only succeeded in delaying the inevitable." says Ganther. "Even in this form, I am still more powerful than all of you combined." he says. Tides of Change "Then we shall see how well you fare if we use the orb's power against you" says Eugene. He takes hold of the orb and feels dark energy surrounding him. He tries his best to control its power, but the orb's weight increases. Eugene falls to the ground still holding the orb. Alfred then carries Eugene on his back. "Eugene, are you all right? Don't forget that we're still here to help you." says Alfred. "You are welcome to try, Eugene" says Ganther. "No one can control the orb's power but me. The orb contains the essence of evil of the Kingdom of Hades - the Underworld. Only I, the Lord of the Underworld, can harness its power." he says. "Not even Enma, the Lord of the Spirit World, was powerful enough to harness its power. That was why he took it from me and hid it, because only I could control the orb And you, a mere mortal, think you are strong enough to even think of controlling it?". He adds. "I will control the power... to save this world... I... will..." says Eugene. And in a few moments, Eugene takes hold of the orb and controls it. The orb gets inside Eugene's body. And after this, Dennis, Vincent, and Alfred is strengthened and powered up. They group together and form a final powerup move. Eugene prepares to fire his Rei Gun, strengthed by the orb's power. "How? This can't be! Only I can control the orb. This is impossible!" says Ganther worriedly. Ganther sends dozens of metal bars towards them, but the bars simply deflect away. "The orb's power is distributed among us four. Now. See how you fare with your own power!" says Eugene. Eugene fires his Rei Gun but Ganther manages to evade it. Alfred then uses his Spirit Sword that fires like a beam of laser. Ganther is only hit in the sides and manages to block most of it. Dennis then uses his rose whip which is now enveloped in a flashing stream of energy. Ganther manages to evade most of Dennis's attacks, but not all of it. Vincent then fires his Black Dragon Spirit Power, now strengthened with the power of the orb, and engulfs Ganther. There was a big explosion and Ganther's fortress is destroyed. Their power dies down and the orb falls to the ground. "Is it over?" asks Eugene. "I guess so." says Pauline. The Last Stand They start to walk away, but suddenly, a hand from underneath the ground grabs Eugene's foot. The hand forces him down the building. When Eugene turns his back to see, it was Ganther. He was still alive. "FOOL! You have destroyed the link. You have corrupted the power of the orb. You... You will DIE!" Ganther says angrily. Eugene kicks Ganther downwards and then takes the orb. "You want the orb? HERE!" he says while throwing it at Ganther. When Ganther takes hold of the orb, Eugene readies one last Rei Gun blast. He charges up and fires it, blasting away the orb. The Rei Gun shatters the orb and the explosion sends Eugene flying upwards while totally incinerating Ganther. The explosion sends hundreds of building rubble toward them, caving them all in. After the explosion, the rooftop is nothing but a giant heap of rubble. However, Eugene, Dennis, Vincent, and Alfred rise. They search for Pauline and Charlene, and they uncover them from the rubble. After a few moments, magic glitters fall from the sky on Charlene. "This is the work of the Spirit World. The flood must have settled. The connection is once again restored!" exclaims Pauline. Charlene is very exhausted, but manages to smile. "Ahhh... it's finally over. At last." says Alfred relaxingly. "I don't feel it's quite the end yet, Alfred." says Pauline. "Why not?" he asks. "Well, Ganther escaped because the forces of evil grew stronger. And the more evil spirits that go to his world, the stronger he will be. The next time around, he might be even more powerful." she says. "We'll be prepared." says Eugene. "I hope so..." she says. "But I guess the only way to stop him is to stop all evil. So starting right now, we all should be good." says Eugene. They all laugh and the sun rises... THE END. |
